Clairemont, CA Real EstateSituated in the center of San Diego, the Bay Park and Clairemont neighborhoods are located directly to the east of Interstate 5, on the other side of which lay Mission Bay and Fiesta Island. The Bay Park/Clairemont area is bordered by Interstate 805 to the east.

Bay Park is the easternmost of these two neighborhoods, and is primarily residential. The neighborhood is also home to two parks: Western Hills Park and South Clairemont Community Park. The restaurants and bars in Bay Park exist mainly along Morena Boulevard, which runs north and south just east of Interstate 5.

Clairemont, established in the 1950s, is sub-divided into North Clairemont, Clairemont Mesa West, and Clairemont Mesa East. Clairemont Mesa East and West are divided by Genesee Avenue, one of the busiest streets in the neighborhood, while North Clairemont is defined by the part of the neighborhood that sits north of Clairemont Mesa Boulevard.

Clairemont is home to San Diego Mesa College, which is one of the city’s public two-year community colleges. Shopping can be found in the area at the Clairemont Square Shopping Center near North Clairemont, and also along Balboa Avenue which affords easy access to local freeways.

Bay Park and Clairemont are a part of the San Diego Unified School District. Schools in the area include Whitman Elementary, Holmes and Marston Middle Schools, and Clairemont High School.
